Brief background: Fai is a chemistry teacher at the illustrious Horitsuba High School. He has a younger twin brother, Yuui, who also works at Horitsuba as a cooking instructor. We don't have any details about his past, but since it's Fai it's fairly certain there is some angst lurking around. He has gotten very close with Kurogane-sensei while teaching at Horitsuba, and enjoys teaching and spending time with his students.
Personality: On the surface, Fai is friendly and polite to everyone he meets, even his enemies. With close friends he tends to tease a lot and generally be very silly, which they find either endearing or annoying or both depending on which friend he's teasing. He's extremely secretive and keeps everyone at arms length, not wishing for anyone to care about him or connect with him. When he's in a bad mood or upset by something, he'll hide it and reject any attempts at comfort. Despite this, he really is a kind person and is happy to help people in anyway he can, so long as it isn't too inconvenient for him. He can still be rather malicious and the fact that he's always smiling makes this rather creepy. He's quite intelligent but avoids conflict whenever possible and likes to push fighting and hard work onto other people rather than doing anything himself. Fai enjoys being the center of attention, and is just as happy with negative attention as he is with positive.
