[Fay is tossing and turning in his bed. He's obviously having a nightmare. Suddenly he sits up with a shout, waking himself up.]

Ah... That...


[Slowly moves to sit on the edge of his bed, breathing heavily. After a moment he laughs quietly.] I suppose it's normal after something like that...


[Replaying the dream event, Fay dreamed about his death only it wasn't quite as sudden as his real one.]

I'm here... But I was on my way ho- [... Oh. Oh.] What happened?! [Remembers pain, lots of it and then darkness and nothing else.]

[... Okay, gonna stop for a while to think and get my head around this holy shit I died.]

[There's a thump as the journal turns on, possibly due to Fay falling over. The angle makes it difficult to see exactly what is wrong, Fay is lying on his stomach and all you can see is his side, blood slowly pooling around his body. He's not moving.

You might not be able to see, but his left arm has been nearly torn off at the shoulder, there are multiple stab wounds on his back that go up his spine and into his neck.]

[After a few minutes, the video turns off.]

Merry Christmas, everyone~

[Fay is doing up the buttons on his shirt, as if he's only just gotten dressed. He smiles at the journal anyway and winks.] 

I'm back.

[It's early in the morning, and Fay is climbing the sakura tree in the park. Did he sneak out before Yuui woke up? Perhaps. His journal falls out of his pocket and switches to video, showing Fay on on one of the lowest branches, wobbling precariously. He quickly falls and lands on the snow.] Oof!

They're all gone... [He notices the journal and gasps] Hey, stop! It was meant to be a surprise!

[... Damnit, not this again.]

If Yuui's not here again, I'm going home!

How do I save the world this time?

Kurotan, where are you?

[De-aged!Fay is sick of Kiseki but here again anyway. I promise this is the last time. Forward-dated to Wednesday, I guess? Just to keep ahead of Shacha. lol what is timeline. ]

... Not funny, Kiseki. Really not funny.

Yuui? Yuui, where are you? [I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm so sorry this is somehow all my fault I'm so sorry someone beat the crap out of me fml.]

[Video post! Accidental though, Fay's sitting on his bed crosslegged, fiddling with a small box sitting on his lap. He opens it, looking curious, and Yuui's piano music can be heard playing from it.]

It's lovely, really... [Fay smiles a little at the music and wrinkles his forehead.] I just wish I could remember where I got it! I don't remember buying it and it looks too nice to just have been left lying around here...

[Replaying the memory loss event. Fay has lost all memories of his darling little brother Yuui.]

Students! Everyone pay attention here! Remember we were talking about putting on a school play a while ago? Fay-kun suggested it. I didn't forget! In fact, I have a great idea.

[Forward-dated to Saturday because mun is a) impatient, b) going to be busy all weekend and c) bored.]

[Accidental video post! Or is it? Either way, a certain blond is in the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on a cake! Lots of cream and icing and strawberries on it.]

[It's Yuui in the kitchen, of course. He's got the ponytail, after all, and Yuui's clothes. And the expression seems like Yuuis. The humming sounds like Yuui's voice. And he's in the kitchen! it must be Yuui!]

[He suddenly notices the journal recording] Ah... It was meant to be a surprise... [That's Yuui's voice! It must be Yuui!]

[... Right?]

[Video goes off!]

[Fay is in the kitchen, all the cupboards are open and it looks like he's been searching for something. While organising the kitchen may have helped Yuui find everything, now Fay can't find anything himself.] Yuuuuuuiiiiiiiii, where did we put the frying pans?

[Hums and looks around a little] In other news, it's almost Halloween! I wonder if any of the kids will go trick or treating... Maybe we should decorate the school! [Pauses for a second] Though that means it's almost that time too...

Yuui, let's only celebrate your birthday this year. I'm not ready to be 30.

[It's Fay-sensei, smiling at the journal! You may notice he is dressed quite strangely (he's the guy on the right only better looking) and yes, that's a sword at his belt. Replaying the genre event, with Shakespeare Fay. Keep in mind I only have an extremely vague concept of the "headcanon" for this "AU" and will be making much of it up as I go along.]

[He did not arrive in the Welcome Center, of course, but some Kiseki ladies in a store near where he was standing were kind enough to explain things to him. A little.]

Hey, all my cute students~ Since Seishirou-sensei is back now, we can't use his classtime for art anymore. But, if you all still want to do it, I thought we could have an after school art club! How does that sound? It'd be voluntary, but if you'd rather we made room for it in the normal class schedule, I can probably work something out. What do you think?

[Backdated to... The first day Sei-sensei was missing? idk time and space in Kiseki is extra hard when you're on the other side of the planet.]

[Video is on, showing a paint covered Fay. Unlike Subaru, he doesn't have the excuse of being seven-years-old anymore, so everyone can assume the paint is his own fault and typical crazy. Anyone in the younger class can assume their character might be in a similar state, since they did finger-painting today instead of Biology and a paint fight may/may not have occurred depending on the students.]

[Fay grins] Well! That was fun! I've never taught a real art class before, we should have them more often! You're all very talented young artists, excellent interpretations of the medium.

[Still laughing lightly under his breath, Fay fiddles with the journal to turn the video off, but before he does...] Two up but one down... I wonder if he'll come back like last time.

[...] Oh! That didn't last long. Shame. [<= Lies. I said stupid stuff to Ashura and didn't fully appreciate Kuro-sensei being back. Though there were fun parts.]

Kuropon-sensei~ Where are you~?

[Camera clicks on, revealing a chibi Fay staring intensely at the journal. He's currently being carried over someone's shoulder, anyone who knows Kurogane may recognise the back of the head.]

[Finally Fay figures out the journals new functions and nodds.]
